For the last year we have had 2 flavours of ManageFlitter: the free version of ManageFlitter and the Pro version.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be making some changes to the free version - the Pro version will stay exactly as is.
Don't worry - you will still be able to use the free version as usual but with a "bonus system" in place.
We will be rolling out a "bonus" system whereby you have the option of sharing the ManageFlitter love and increasing the number of people you can unfollow per day and/or gain access to some features.
Currently all free users have access to a limited feature set and can only unfollow up to 1000 people a day. With the bonus system free users will start off with a limited feature set...

If you use Twitter for business you no doubt would like to maximise the response from your tweeting. Whether that response is clicking through your links or replying to your tweets.
A great infographic has been put together by Dan Zarrella based on some research that he did.
Some key points:
- Don't tweet out a link more than once an hour
- Tweet slightly less than the 140 characters allowed
- Tweeting over the weekend and in the afternoon yields better results (implicit in this is relative to the timezone your followers are in - one of the reasons that we developed PowerPost)
- Place the links in your tweets either 25% of the way through or at the end of your tweet
- Use action verbs

We are excited to announce the launch of our PowerPost feature. This feature is currently only available for our Beta users. We hope to make it available to our Pro users and perhaps even our free users in some form in about a month or so.
PowerPost helps solve the issue of "when is the best time for me to tweet". PowerPost helps you analyse your tweet stream guides you as to the right time for you to schedule your tweet based on your followers with the aim to achieve maximum visibility.

We were nominated for a Shorty award in the "apps category" and over the last month votes came in thick and fast.
In total we received 884 votes and came in 3rd position out of 253 nominated applications!
Today we were formally notified that we are a finalist and have been invited to the awards ceremony at the end of March in New York City. Woo hoo!
James Peter luckily was already going to be in New York around that time for another conference so most likely he will attend. Since New York is a far and expensive trip I am unsure if I will be there.

A couple of weeks ago we launched some very useful "whitelisting" functionality.
This functionality allows you to create a whitelist based on your Twitter lists. You can also add users individually to the whitelist. Creating a whitelist in ManageFlitter helps you remove people from your list of "not following me back" that you obviously don't care that they aren't following you back. For example celebrities, politicians, official Government accounts etc.

We released new tweet analytics functionality within ManageFlitter yesterday.
Currently it is only available to select Pro users. We will release it over the next few days for those that applied for Beta access. We will then release it to Pro users and in a limited form to free users.
